Niamh of Tir na nÓg

In this project I am planning to make a picture book. The actual size will be 20*15 cm (roughly A5), landscape format.

The picture book contains 20 illustrations which includes front and back cover. I limited to certain number of illustrations because I considered about time restriction relatively to my capability.

As my intentions are to develop sequential images and story-telling. According to my interests in many medias such as role-playing video game, folklore/fairytale, Japanese animation and graphic novel, I would like to apply these influences through my works.

I challenged myself with multi-character and environment story which based on exist Irish folklore about the Land of Youth (Tír na nOg). I chose this story because Irish folklore is rarely represented in nowadays medias comparing to other mythologies so it has a lot of room to explore.

In my interpretation, I would like to represent the story from female protagonist while depict her development or surpass obstacle through heroic situation and able to achieve her goal.
